Vic & Angelo's Authentic Tastes of Italy in South Florida

Happy 2018! Can you believe the holiday season has come and gone? We're back to work, handling gift returns, taking down decorations, feeling the burn from post-holiday fatigue, and absolutely sick of being at the stove in our kitchens. If you're near the Delray Beach or Palm Beach Gardens areas in Florida, take a long lunch, night off from cooking, or take a brunch date and visit Vic & Angelo's for the most authentic tastes of Italy in a fun and friendly atmosphere, under the direction of Chef Carl Murphy who's been featured on the Food Network.

The stellar staff is awaiting your arrival and ready to make you feel like friends or family by taking the best care of you. They'll get you settled in with a glass of vino, Peroni Pale Lager,  Tito's Vodka with three Blue Cheese Olives, or one of several signature cocktails from their full bar. Sip on a Strawberry Caipirinha while deciding on your soup, starter, and main dish selections. Choosing these and dessert is the only difficult part of your Vic & Angelo's experience!

During my Vic & Angelo's visit for lunch, I chose to start with a cup of Minestrone. This and the Chicken Noodle soup are perfect warm delights for the cool temperatures we've been experiencing in South Florida. I decided to go straight for my main dish and opt out of a Local Burrata, Bruschetta of the Day, or one of their many salads.

Vic & Angelo's top signature dishes include Nonna's Gigante Meatball, Rigatoni Bolognese, Coal Oven Pizzas, Baked Sicilian Chicken Wings, and Four Cheese Pear Tortelloni with White Truffle Zabaglione, I had the pleasure of enjoying this decadent and rich dish. If you're looking for something other than pasta or pizza, select a main plate salad or a handheld item ranging from Blackened Mahi Tacos to a Tuscan Chicken Panini. There’s something for everyone and no wrong choice for brunch, lunch, dinner, or happy hour at Vic & Angelo's. Take a look at each of their dining menus HERE.

When lunch was finished and cleared, a pretty pink dessert menu arrived. I don't often order dessert, but who can refuse a pink dessert menu? Not this gal! I indulged in Vic & Angelo's Zeppoles sprinkled with powdered sugar. These out-of-this-world Italian donuts are served with Vanilla Bean Gelato, and, both, caramel and chocolate sauce. There are simply no words for these little pieces of heaven.

I'd highly recommend paying Vic & Angelo's a visit if you're looking for authentic Italian dining in a comfortable, rustic-chic, and relaxed atmosphere with an amazing staff. They're so friendly that you'll feel like you've been a regular there for years. For 2018, make Vic & Angelo's your go-to for tastes of Italy in South Florida. Happy dining in the new year! - Jill xoxo
