Happy Monday and President's Day! For those of you who were lucky enough to have the day off for the holiday, I hope you did something fun! And for those who had to work, I hope your day was productive and awesome! I managed to squeeze a little fun in my workday. And, in honor of the holiday, I am showcasing this easy red, white, and blue look.
I love this off-the-shoulder (OTS) poplin blouse. It's lightweight cotton and actually very comfortable. OTS blouses and sweaters can be uncomfortable and tend not to stay put, this one stays right where it should. The blue and white gingham pattern adds a touch of whimsical fun and there are several other patterns available. This particular pattern would be perfect for a Fourth of July look with denim shorts, white Converse sneakers, braided hair, and bright red sunnies. How cute would you be at your holiday backyard barbeque?!
I love to pair light and white denim with brightly colored shoes for that pop, like these bright red Tory Burch sandals. Adding bright colors to white just make them all the more vibrant. This particular sandal comes in 10+ colors, so you have many other options if red isn't your thing.
White denim anything has become a favorite. I own at least three pair of shorts, two skirts, and five pair of white denim jeans in different styles. These jeans are my newest edition and favorite of all. They're a comfortable stretch denim with just the right amount of distressing.
I live in South Florida, the land of always summer, so I wear white denim all year long, but I think it's become fairly acceptable everywhere else to do so as well. The no white after Labor Day or before Memorial Day rule is antiquated and silly as far as I'm concerned. Be a rebel and rock your white denim year-round if it suits you!
